Leave fetish wear at home and always sit on a towel; these are just a couple of the rules in place when it comes to nude cruising.
Texas-based travel company, Bare Necessities, has been operating clothing-optional ship charters since 1990 and over the years, it has developed a set of rules to ensure that all passengers 'enjoy a wonderful, stress-free, clothes-free experience.'
Bare Necessities' nude cruises were thrust into the spotlight this week when a 67-year-old man opened up about his experiences aboard one of the ships - answering a host of questions from fascinated Reddit users about what life is like aboard the ship.
During his eye-opening Q&A, he touched upon several different regulations that are put in place to protect passengers' privacy - and now, DailyMail.com is revealing the exact list of strict rules that are implemented aboard Bare Necessities trips in order to ensure the comfort of all onboard.
For all of its excursions, it outlines nine key 'decorum rules,' with the first one being that all passengers must be dressed 'throughout the entire vessel, including balconies,' if the boat is docked in a port or while port authorities are on board.

The next rule touches on nudity when dining.
Depending on the ship, the rules around clothing and the different restaurants varies.
For instance, for one of its excursions on Norwegian Pearl, Bare Necessities tells passengers that the self-serve buffet on the pool deck is a clothes-free area but 'clothing is required for all meals taken in the dining rooms.'
For those who are unsure about what to wear, it states: 'Bathrobes are not permitted in the dining room.
'When in doubt as to what is appropriate attire, simply confirm that breasts, bottoms and genitalia are fully covered by clothing that is not considered to be fetish-wear or lingerie.'
The next rule on the agenda, reiterates that 'lingerie, fetish-wear, and excessive genital jewelry are not appropriate at any time.'
For first-timers, the travel company's next rule outlines a piece of 'standard nudist etiquette' which is 'to be observed everywhere,' which involves 'always' sitting on a towel 'or some article of clothing when bare bottomed or in a thong or G-string.'
In a bid to protect peoples' privacy, no photographs, videos or electronic images of anyone on the ship can be taken without their 'express consent,' regardless of whether they are clothed or nude.

There are also 'no photo zones' located around the ships' pools and dances venues, and offenders will have their 'photo capturing device' confiscated if they are caught breaking this rule.
Bare Necessities highlights in its marketing materials that its trips are not sexual and its main aim is to 'dispel the misconception that it is anything but natural and beautiful.'
It adds: 'We have made strides in the acceptance of nude vacationing and our wide range of cruise charters are a testament to our success.'
Therefore, it warns guests that 'fondling or inappropriate touching of personal body parts or those of someone else, overt sexual activity or any form of solicitation for sexual acts is strictly prohibited.'
Finally, the travel company states that 'dangerous or rude behavior will not be tolerated at any time,' and passengers must comply with US Federal law regarding the possession or use of illegal substances.
If any passenger fails to comply with the decorum and etiquette rules, the company warns that they could be dismissed from a cruise with no refund and no transportation will be provided from the port of disembarkation.
